We had a very fancy lunch at French bakery-cafe Le Pain Quotidien, then spent a few hours at Cabin John park in Maryland, where we also rode the little train through the woods. I even got to take a nap, the ultimate Mom luxury.

A Happy Mother's Day
To all the mothers out there, and those of you who love kids like your own, Happy Mother's Day! We had a really nice day. I got some fun gifts this morning from Aaron, including an old-fashioned phone.....I have been wanting regular phones to replace our cordless ones, whose batteries always die at inconvenient times. Aaron found this little polka-dotted one at Pottery Barn and couldn't pass it up. It looks like a toy, but it's not; the thing is very heavy.
