The day that the kids have been waiting for finally came this week - first day of school! They have been a little bored at home and eager to make new friends. They took it all in stride; a new school in a new country would be intimidating for a lot of kids, but not mine! Nick began 6th grade, Olivia 2nd grade and Alex preschool. Aaron and I were able to bring them there for their first day and hang out in their classrooms....something we don't get to do in the U.S. too often. The school is very small but cozy, cheerful and staffed with great teachers. All three kids will have the usual subjects plus art, music, computers, French and P.E., including swimming at the embassy pool. We're looking forward to a good year!
