Arrrr, Me Children Be Pirates!

Last weekend we went to a birthday party for our friends' daughter; the theme was pirates and princesses and my kids jumped at the chance to dress in costume. Olivia, having passed the princess phase (at least when it comes to dress-up), wanted to be a pirate. We had a great time putting her look together. Nick did his own stuff and so did Alex, whose look said "safari guide" more than pirate, but oh well.

We even gave Liv a tatoo

A look that frightens her father

Princesses - including one in a flamenco dress!

(The bunny is Miffiy's sister....or brother...we're not sure)

Natalie came later after her nap and had fun too!

OK, so this next picture has nothing to do with the b-day party. This was Teacher Appreciation week and each day one parent brought breakfast treats for the school staff. My day was Monday, and I made this sign to go along with my cranberry nut breads and fruit salad. I thought it was just about the cutest thing I've ever made!

Yet another fantastic memory to be "treasured"! What a family, what a mommy!
